American DVD Release
The American DVD version of the first and second movies was released on 4 September 2001. The following online sites are selling the DVD. Search for "neverending story".
German DVD Release
I saw this Usenet article, so I thought I'd share it, though I don't know how accurate this information is. Please note that this is the PAL (European) version of the first movie, meaning American DVD players (unless equiped with the PAL option) will not be able to show it.
